Why Red Clay Lantern?
The name reflects two things at the heart of the books: a strong sense of place and the idea of carrying light into histories that have been deliberately obscured.
Red Clay Lantern Press is an independent publishing imprint of Red Clay Lantern Press, LLC, and publishes the Merritt Franklin series by K.A. LeVan.
What we value
Story first. Research matters because it makes the story more believable, not because the reader should feel buried beneath it.
Respect for history. Historical settings and real events deserve care, restraint, and clear boundaries between documented history and fiction.
